A Pennsylvania nursing home employee has been busted after she allegedly took pictures of dead residents and shared them with friends and co-workers.
28-year-old Stephanie Thomas admitted to taking pictures of three elderly people moments after their deaths at the Berk Heim senior living facility.
The patients were aged between 84 and 92. She reportedly sent the pictures to coworkers saying: "It looked cool."
"Frankly, I think it caused a lot of embarrassment and emotional issues with some of the family members," District Attorney John Adams said. "The mere act of taking the photos was in of itself inappropriate."
Witnesses described Thomas as "obsessed with death." On her phone, police have also found pictures of dead animals.
