A Worthington inmate was charged with fourth-degree assault after he allegedly bit a prison officer's finger.
Nicholas Bryson, 38-year-old, of Sioux Falls, entered in an altercation with jail officials who wanted to make him move from his cell to another, something he totally refused.
The altercation has reportedly accelerated to the point of becoming physical when Bryson pushed one of the officers to the floor and began wrestling. He then reportedly bit through the jailer's glove.
The officer sustained wounds to his finger in addition to knee pain from the fight.
Bryson was charged with felony fourth-degree assault of a corrections officer, according to the court complaint.
