California authorities announced the capture of a mountain lion that was wandering around homes in Pasadena since last Thursday.
The cougar was located in a neighborhood about two miles from the foothills of the Angeles National Forest. "Generally, coming down to Pasadena that far is a little unusual," said Pasadena Police Lieutenant Max Dahlstein. Several videos of the mountain lion have emerged as it wandered around the area's homes.
The animal was captured in a resident's backyard. It was napping under a tree when California Department of Fish and Wildlife officials tranquilized it and were able to capture it.
The animal was reportedly taken to a specialized facility for veterinary examination.
