A Des Moines suspect was arrested after he allegedly called 911 and threatened to crash his car into a QuiKTrip gas station last Saturday.
Gerald Michael Evans Jr., 43, was charged with making a threat of terrorism, intimidation with a weapon, operating a vehicle while intoxicated and eluding arrest.
Evans called police several times and threatened to kill "everybody inside" the station. He also said that he was armed and that he planned to crash his vehicle into the gas station.
The suspect was arrested shortly after a police chase. Upon his arrest, he admitted to consuming alcohol, cocaine and other drugs. He is being held on a $35,000 cash only bond while awaiting his upcoming April 30 hearing.
