Food Network star Anne Burrell died after suffering a cardiac arrest Tuesday, the New York Fire Department said.

The 55-year-old chef’s husband found her unresponsive in the shower, surrounded by a large quantity of pills, and called 911.

The dispatcher advised the husband to perform CPR, but he mentioned that Burrell’s body was cold.

Burrell made her TV debut in 2006 as a sous chef on Iron Chef America before getting her own show, Secrets of a Restaurant Chef, and hosting The Worst Cooks in America.

“I think Anne looks like she’s in pretty decent shape these days, so it’s kind of surprising to me,” Burrell’s friend, Chef Elizabeth Falkner, said.

“I know it is very personal to me what happened, and I can’t believe somebody even younger than me has just passed away. It’s close to home for all of us.”
