A Delaware mother is now facing murder charges after she allegedly told detectives her missing toddler was abducted at gunpoint.
Darrian Randle, 31, was charged with first and second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of a minor under 13.
Her boyfriend, 44-year-old Cedrick Britten, was charged with accessory to first- and second-degree murder and failure to report a child death.
Randle reportedly called 911 late on June 10 and told dispatchers her 3-year-old daughter, Nola Dinkins, was abducted at gunpoint in Ogletown.
Police launched an “intensive”, nightlong search that involved the FBI and several agencies.
The search focused on Cecil County in Maryland, where human remains believed to be little Nola were discovered.
“Further investigation led to potential criminal activity, which subsequently led to the recovery of human remains in a vacant lot in Northeast, Maryland.”
Police arrested Britten at Randle’s last known address in North East, Maryland.
