Police in Cobb County, Georgia, arrested a teacher and his wife over allegations that they confined their children in their rooms without food for over a year.
Steven and Anissa Griffin allegedly placed cameras in their children’s rooms and monitored their movements, forcing them to ask for permission to use restrooms.
The couple also allegedly denied their children access to food and the bathroom for days and months at a time.
A teenage victim told detectives he was forced to live in an unfinished basement, while a teen girl said she had to ask for permission to use the bathroom.
The children told investigators they felt uncomfortable living with cameras recording them all the time.
Griffin, who has since resigned from his job at North Cobb High School, denied the allegations.
