A Georgia man and his daughter were arrested last weekend after the woman’s three autistic children were found unattended inside a home.
The discovery was made Sunday when Albany Police officers responded to reports of a child walking without supervision on a road near his West Broad Avenue home.

The officers investigating the incident found three autistic, non-verbal children unattended inside the home.
Police said the children were aged 8, 4, and a 9-month-old. None of the children was reportedly injured.
Officers waited until the children’s mother, 25-year-old Amia Elder, and their grandfather, 66-year-old Kenneth Elder, returned and arrested them for reckless conduct.
