A Florida boy was arrested after he allegedly poisoned his adoptive mother’s milk with bleach, authorities said.
The 77-year-old woman told police that she drank a “little bit” of the milk but immediately “tasted it,” referring to the bleach.
She said she had recently been feuding with the 17-year-old and was the only person drinking milk at the household, making her the intended target of the attempted poisoning.
Police questioned the teen who allegedly admitted to trying to poison the woman.
“He stated he was angry at [his adoptive mom] and no longer wished to live in the home,” authorities said.
The woman was taken to a hospital for evaluation. The teen was arrested Saturday and charged with attempted murder, poisoning food or water, and aggravated abuse of an elderly person.
