McIntosh County news, Georgia news.

A North Carolina mother and her four children died tragically in a fiery collision in Georgia early Sunday morning.

At around 6 a.m., Reagan Dougan, 27, was traveling with her children, three boys aged 9, 7, and 3-month-old, and a 2-year-old daughter, to greet her husband in Florida.

Witnesses said that Dougan was driving her rental Jeep at a high rate of speed when she crashed into the back of a sedan in McIntosh County.

Dougan and her family had just moved into her Raleigh, North Carolina home a few months ago. Neighbors remembered her as a smiling woman.

“We always waved at each other; she always had a smile on her face. The kids were always happy,” one said.

“Their food always smelled good when they cooked it. It was something that we never really got to share any time together but passing by. I can imagine them here now, but they’re gone the next.”
