A 21-year-old Venezuelan woman who had only been in the US for a year was found stabbed to death, wrapped in a shower curtain and stuffed in a futon inside a Philadelphia home.
Police did not identify the woman but said she was stabbed multiple times in the neck and torso before her body was discovered at 12:39 a.m. Saturday.
“It’s very scary. Like something straight out of a movie, like something you wouldn’t hear close to home,” a neighbor said.
The victim had made several friends during her short stay in Philadelphia.
“She was outgoing, funny. She loved to have fun. No negative vibes, all good positive energy. She loved doing TikToks with my kids,” one said.
Officers did not find any weapons at the scene. The friends reported the victim missing after not hearing from her since April 2.
“Hopefully, whoever did it put them away. Let them suffer because at the end of the day they didn’t care about her,” the victim’s friend said.
