Man charged with hate crime after assaulting black driver on road

A California suspect has been charged after he allegedly stroke a black driver and assaulted him last Sunday.

Zackary Miller, 23, faces hate crime charges following an altercation between him and another driver who hit his side mirror. Miller went violent along with other witnesses insulting the victim and calling him a thief who wanted money.

The confrontation between the two continued when Miller attacked the man and knocked him to the ground.

Police identified Miller using photos that were taken by the victim. He had two active felony warrants in addition to new charges including assault with a deadly weapon, hate crime enhancement and possession of illegal drugs for sales.
