Las Vegas news, Nevada news.

The suspect who blew up a Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has been identified as Army Veteran Matthew Livelsberger, 37.

Livelsberger was raised in Colorado Springs and served at the same army base as the New Orleans terrorist who plowed a pickup truck into a crowd of revelers killing 15 hours earlier.

The Tesla exploded outside the hotel’s glass entrance just before 9 a.m. on Wednesday killing Livelsberger and injuring several others.

According to Livelsberger’s LinkedIn profile, he served over 19 years in the Army, 18 of which were with Special Forces.

For the last three months, he worked as a remote and autonomous systems manager.

Late Wednesday, FBI agents raided his townhome looking for more information and possible evidence.

It is believed that Livelsberger rented the Tesla Cybertruck in Colorado Springs through the Turo app before driving it across the border to Nevada early Wednesday, stopping several times to charge the vehicle.

Fireworks, gas tanks, and camping fuel connected to a detonation system were discovered inside the burnt-out vehicle.

Tesla owner Elon Musk said on X that the blast resulted from “very large fireworks and /or a bomb” and not the Cybertruck itself.
