A 67-year-old man was “intentionally” burned inside a Manhattan subway station Friday, authorities said.
The man was found on fire at the transit hub of Manhattan’s Penn Station train terminal just before 8 p.m., the Metropolitan Transportation Authority said.
The victim, who was located near the entrance of the subway, suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
He was rushed to New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center where he is listed in stable condition.
Investigators were seen focusing on a New Jersey Transit tunnel near tracks one through 12, local media reported.
The incident comes days after an illegal immigrant set a sleeping woman ablaze inside a Brooklyn subway car, killing her.
