Missouri man fatally shoots son after threatening victim’s fiancée: ‘You wanna get shot instead?’

A Missouri father shot his son in the head killing him on Christmas Eve after an argument involving him and the victim’s fiancée.

Harold Luster, 61, and his 26-year-old son Kevin Ward’s fiancée were arguing just before 9 p.m. as Luster demanded she give him information about his wife’s alleged affair.

The fiancée told police Luster believed she hid information from him and threatened to shoot her.

“Do you want to get shot?” he reportedly asked her.

  • Ward intervened and confronted his father, telling his fiancée to run, and called the police.

    “You’re not going to shoot her?” Ward told his father who then replied, “You wanna get shot instead?”

    The woman then heard gunshots and saw Ward fall to the ground, dead.

    Police said the fatal confrontation was caught on a neighbor’s surveillance camera. Luster has been charged with murder and armed criminal action.
