Rising actor, 16, dies after falling from moving vehicle in Alabama: ‘Taken way too soon’

An up-and-coming actor died last weekend after he fell from a moving vehicle and sustained critical injuries, authorities in Alabama said.

Hudson Joseph Meek, 16, succumbed to his injuries Saturday night after the Thursday incident that took place in the 1900 block of Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills.

Authorities are still investigating the incident. But Meek’s family confirmed his untimely passing in a social media post.

“Our hearts are broken to share that Hudson Meek went home to be with Jesus tonight,”

    Hudson and his brother Tucker started acting 10 years ago when they participated in the Lifetime movie “The Santa Con.”

    According to IMDb, Hudson’s most successful role was as Young Baby in “Baby Driver” in 2017. He also appeared in “Found” and “The School Duel” in 2023 and 2024 respectively.

    “You were taken way too soon,” a friend posted. “But I can tell you one thing that the 16 years you spent on earth were everything. You will forever be loved, my man.”
