Two brothers are dead after an altercation escalated into a fatal shooting Friday afternoon, police said.
The tragedy occurred just after 3 p.m. Friday when officers responded to the shooting scene near NRG Center at 2909 Westridge Street, the Houston Police Department said.
The two brothers got into a fight that turned deadly when they pulled out guns and shot each other.

One died at the scene while the other was taken to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident and trying to determine what led to the brothers’ confrontation.
