Memphis Police investigate after 2 women found dead inside bullet-riddled car

Two women were found deceased inside a car riddled with bullet holes Monday in Memphis, police said.

The victims’ bodies were located on the 4700 block of Manson Road in Westhaven at around 1 p.m.

Police said the women died from gunshot wounds. Their loved ones arrived at the scene hours later and shed tears as they demanded answers.

  • “It’s something happening every day. It’s never been like this as long as I’ve been living. It just seems like it’s getting worse to me,” a resident who has lived in the area for more than four decades said.

    He had a message to city leaders about gun violence in the neighborhood.

    “Try to do more and try to stop what’s going on. It just seems like it’s getting worse to me. I mean, I never seen anything like this.”
