Two women were found deceased inside a car riddled with bullet holes Monday in Memphis, police said.
The victims’ bodies were located on the 4700 block of Manson Road in Westhaven at around 1 p.m.
Police said the women died from gunshot wounds. Their loved ones arrived at the scene hours later and shed tears as they demanded answers.
“It’s something happening every day. It’s never been like this as long as I’ve been living. It just seems like it’s getting worse to me,” a resident who has lived in the area for more than four decades said.
He had a message to city leaders about gun violence in the neighborhood.
“Try to do more and try to stop what’s going on. It just seems like it’s getting worse to me. I mean, I never seen anything like this.”
The MPD asked anyone with information about the shooting to call CrimeStoppers at 901-528-2274.
