An Alabama man was found dead in a west Birmingham alley late Tuesday after nearly 50 shots were fired at the scene, police said.
Officers responded to several reports of a shooting at around 11:45 p.m. in the 1800 block of Princeton Court Alley S.W. Alley.
They located a 22-year-old man suffering at least one gunshot wound. The man, later identified as Ty’Keem Dishad Moore, was pronounced dead at the scene.
It is believed a family member found the victim before the officers. Moore ran after he was struck by bullets and collapsed in the alley.
Shot Spotters in the area registered a total of 49 rounds fired. Detectives noted damage to two vehicles and a home.
Anyone with information about the shooting is urged to call police at 205-254-1764 or Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.
