Maryland woman kills boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend after argument turns physical

The new girlfriend of a Maryland man allegedly killed his ex when a verbal argument turned violent late Thursday, police in Prince George’s County said.

54-year-old Conne Burns allegedly went to her ex-boyfriend’s home in Capitol Heights to retrieve their 9-year-old son when an argument between the couple erupted.

The man told police he and Burns started arguing over his relationship with 35-year-old Erica Terry who soon arrived and joined the argument.

  • The two women began fighting with Terry knocking Burns to the ground, hitting her head, repeatedly punching her, and kicking her, investigators said.

    Burns was fatally injured when the man intervened and sent Terry upstairs to call for help, something she did not do.

    The victim succumbed to her injuries. Terry was arrested at the scene and charged with second-degree murder.
