Violent man kills mother after release from jail on $250 bond

A Colorado man is accused of slaughtering his mother at her Loveland home just weeks after he bonded out of jail.

Michael Fuller, 30, faces murder charges in the death of 71-year-old Toni Fuller.

Fuller was found dead from blunt and sharp force injuries after officers responding to a wellness check forced entry to her home.

  • The suspect was arrested at the scene. Authorities said the victim had been granted a protective order against her son who became physically abusive while drinking or after using drugs.

    Fuller was arrested weeks earlier, on Oct. 9, after he attacked a woman walking her dog in Namaqua Park.

    The woman screamed for her life, retreated to a river, and used pepper spray to keep Fuller away until police arrived.

    Fuller refused to surrender and attacked two officers before his arrest. His bond was set at $250 which he paid and was allowed to leave.
