Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders lambasted his party for the humiliating loss to Donald Trump just before Kamala Harris’ concession address.
“It should come as no great surprise that a Democratic Party which has abandoned working class people would find that the working class has abandoned them,” the 83-year-old lawmaker posted to social media.
The Democratic socialist added that not only the white working class turned on Democrats, but they were also joined by Black and Latino voters.
“While the Democratic leadership defends the status quo, the American people are angry and want change. And they’re right.”
Sanders spoke about young people facing “worse standard of living than their parents” and the billions of dollars lost in funding Israel’s war on Gaza.
The Senator promised to participate in “some very serious political discussions” asking his supporters to “stay tuned” sparking speculations that he might be considering to run for president again.
