Authorities in St. Louis, Missouri said that a sheet metal worker died after he fell at a construction site Friday.
The victim was working at Barnes-Jewish Hospital when he fell from a ladder 12 feet onto a concrete floor.
The worker hit his head and succumbed to his injuries two days later.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to all family, friends, team members and fellow employees,” McCarthy Building Companies said.
“The preliminary investigation indicates that the individual was injured while installing a metal-insulated panel,”
“Emergency personnel were contacted immediately, and the individual was taken to the emergency room at an area hospital.”
“Out of respect for the privacy of the individual’s family, we will not be sharing further details at this time.”
