Washington DC news, Washington news.

President Joe Biden revealed on Friday that he is concerned the upcoming presidential election won’t be “peaceful.”

“I’m confident it will be free and fair,” Biden said during a surprise appearance at the White House press briefing.

“I don’t know whether it will be peaceful.”

“The things that Trump has said and the things that he said last time out when he didn’t like the outcome were very dangerous.”

“I noticed that the vice presidential Republican candidate did not say he would accept the outcome of the election,”

“They haven’t accepted the outcome of the last election. So, I am concerned about what they’re going to do.”

On Thursday, Trump insisted at a Michigan rally that he did win the 2020 election.

“We won, we won, we did win. It was a rigged election,” he said.

Trump’s running-mate also said he would challenge the 2024 election outcome if he judged it unfair during the VP debate earlier this week.

“Look, what President Trump has said is that there were problems in 2020, and my own belief is that we should fight about those issues, debate those issues peacefully in the public square,” he explained.
