A missing staffer of a US Army hospital was found dead off a popular hiking trail in San Antonio, Texas.
Stacey Draminga, 63, vanished Sunday morning after leaving for a walk on the Salado Greenway Trail.
San Antonio Park rangers found her body about 30 yards off a trail in a wooded area near Dafoste Park on Monday.
The coroner’s office determined that Draminga died from head trauma. Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar said the decedent may have last spoken with a woman on the trail.
He said his office would like to speak with that woman who is not considered a suspect.
“Our heartfelt condolences go out to her family, friends, and co-workers,” Brooke Army Medical Center said in a statement.
“Stacey was a beloved member of the BAMC staff and will be greatly missed.”
