An Iowa telecom worker died of electrocution Wednesday during a home relocation, authorities said.
The decedent was an employee of ImOn Communications, a local internet service provider.
He suffered a fatal electric while working at a home in the area of Herbert Hoover Highway and Eastbury Drive in Iowa City.
“With deep sorrow, we confirm the tragic passing of one of our colleagues. This is a heartbreaking loss for the ImOn Communications family, and our thoughts are with their family, friends, and colleagues during this incredibly difficult time,” said Cynthia Huber from ImOn in a statement.
The unidentified victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he succumbed.
