The 14-year-old gunman accused of carrying out a mass shooting at a Winder, Georgia high school Wednesday morning has been identified.
Colt Gray was a student at Apalachee High School where he opened fire at around 10:23 a.m. Wednesday killing two students and two teachers.
Nine victims suffered gunshot wounds and were rushed to area hospitals, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation said.
The troubled teen has been on the FBI’s radar for over a year after allegedly making online threats to carry out a school shooting.
Investigators are still looking into how Gray managed to bring an “AR platform-style weapon” to the school and who owned the firearm.
“We’re still trying to clarify a lot of the timeline from the time that he got here to school today until the incident,” GBI Director Chris Hosey said.
The four slain victims were identified late Wednesday as teachers Christina Irimie and Richard Aspinwall, and students Mason Schermerhorn and Christian Angulo, both 14 years old.
Gray surrendered to police and is being charged with murder as an adult.
