Houston news, Texas news.

A suspect is in custody in connection to the last weekend murder of a Nepali nursing student inside her Houston apartment.

Bobby Singh Shah, 51, was identified through surveillance footage that showed him threatening 21-year-old Muna Pandey at gunpoint the day she was killed.

The manager of the apartment complex where Pandey lived received an anonymous call about a “dead body” inside her unit and found her deceased.

Police said Pandey was found Monday in her bed with multiple gunshot wounds including one to the back of her head.

“What are you going to do?” she asked, to which he responded by ordering her to open the door.

Detectives believed Shah, who left the apartment about an hour later with the victim’s purse, was a stalker of Pandey.
