Tennessee man shoots teen to death after spotting him breaking into neighbor’s car

A Tennessee man is accused of killing a 16-year-old boy after spotting him breaking into a neighbor’s car over the weekend.

Adrian Wilkerson has been charged with second-degree murder for allegedly shooting a teen dead outside The Residences of Gallatin apartments late Sunday.

Wilkerson and the teen got into an altercation that turned into a fatal shooting. The victim desperately tried to flee before collapsing down the street.

  • “I know my son and I know deep down inside that his intentions were not kill a child,” Wilkerson’s mother said.

    However, witnesses said that Wilkerson fired dozens of shots at the teen forcing them to look for cover.

    “My son isn’t a criminal. It’s a very hurtful feeling. It’s not just me involved; it’s another family that’s involved. I have a heart, it hurts,” the mother said.
