A 3-year-old girl was mauled by a black bear at a private campground in Montana, authorities said Sunday.
The bear attacked the toddler at around 10 p.m. at a South Red Lodge campground and injured her.
She was taken to a hospital in Billings in an unknown condition.

Authorities evacuated the campground and placed traps before confirming that the bear had been located and shot.
Fish, Wildlife, and Parks officials said garbage, a cooler, and food were discovered inside and around the tent.
The agency urges people to keep food and garbage outside of tents or stored in bear-resistant containers.
