Former president Donald Trump defended the “brave” female Secret Service agent who defended him during the assassination attempt at a Butler, Pennsylvania rally after she got trolled online.

Despite the female agent’s bravery during the ordeal, critics took to social media to suggest that women should not be allowed to work as Secret Service agents.

“There wasn’t one that was slow, a woman that was on my right, a beautiful person, she was shielding me with everything she could and she got criticized by the fake news because she wasn’t tall enough,” Trump told attendees of a St. Cloud, Minnesota rally Saturday.

“She was so brave, she was shielding me with everything, she wanted to take a bullet.”
