A Washington college student was arrested in New Hampshire months after the death of a 7-year-old girl who allegedly suffered from abuse while in his care.

Demiko A. Fox, 22, was tracked down to a Hampton Inn hotel in Bow, New Hampshire where the Bow Police Department worked with members of the Joint Fugitive Task Force and the US Marshals to arrest him.

Fox, who was arrested without incident on Wednesday, is accused of abusing a 7-year-old girl who was brought to a Kirkland, Washington hospital with “no pulse and obvious signs of abuse” on April 11.

“We didn’t tell him for what. We were going to let the detectives from Washington take care of that.”
