Harris takes lead over Trump in recent poll conducted after Biden's withdrawal from 2024 race

Vice President Kamala Harris took the lead over rival Donald Trump in a recent poll conducted in the days after President Biden dropped out of the 2024 race.

Harris pulled ahead of Trump by 2 percent in a head-to-head general election matchup, the Reuters/Ipsos poll showed.

    The new bombshell poll found that Harris leads Trump 44 percent to 42 percent now that she is indeed running for president.

    On Monday, Harris gathered the support of enough delegates to be named the Democratic candidate at the party’s national convention next month.
