A Georgia woman who went missing earlier this month was found dead Friday in the backseat of a car at an Atlanta transit station.
Chanell Crosby, 35, left her home on July 13 for a trip. The following day, they received a last text from her informing them she was in Macon.
Her body was found by a Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority police officer after someone reported smelling a bad odor emanating from the vehicle.
The car was located about nine miles away from Crosby’s residence.
In September 2022, Crosby’s 13-year-old son Jamiren was gunned down behind a townhome in Lithonia hours after leaving with friends.
“It’s no reason why something so senseless, if Jamiren was your friend, what happened?” Chanell Crosby wondered at the time.
No one has been charged in connection to the murder.
