Teen charged after remains of missing Tennessee girl found by worker picking up trash

Authorities in Hendersonville, Tennessee have identified human remains found along a roadway Wednesday as a missing 17-year-old girl.

Trinity Bostic, of Macon County, was reported missing on June 29, police said.

Her remains were discovered Wednesday by a worker picking up trash along Vietnam Veterans Boulevard.

Detectives believe foul play is involved in the teen’s death which is being investigated as a homicide.

  • “In order to maintain the integrity of the investigation, no other details surrounding this incident will be released at this time,” the Hendersonville Police Department said.

    On Saturday, The HPD announced the arrest of a 17-year-old boy from Westmoreland, Tennessee in connection to Bostic’s death.

    The juvenile suspect has been charged with first-degree murder.
