A high school football star was identified as the victim of a horrific crash that occurred early Tuesday morning in Mashpee, Massachusetts.

Nolan Barr, 17, did not survive his injuries after the driver of the car he was riding with seven other teens lost control and hit a tree.

The crash left five other teens with injuries and the front side of their SUV completely crumbled on the sidewalk.

No charges have been filed in connection to the deadly crash; A resident of the neighborhood said he heard an “awful bang” and recalled losing his own teen son in a car crash five decades ago.
