Trump scores favorability boost over Biden in recent poll

Former President Donald Trump is viewed with more favorability by voters than rival President Joe Biden is, according to a recent poll.

The new Gallup survey of 1,005 Americans was conducted between June 3 and June 23 across 50 U.S. states.

The survey showed that 79 percent of Republicans were pleased with their nominee while only 42 percent of Democrats were satisfied with Biden as a nominee.

Also, 46 percent of respondents saw Trump favorably which is his highest rating since April 2020 and 9 percentage points higher than Biden’s rating.

Asked whether they believed Biden was too old for the presidency, 67 percent of the respondents said “Yes” while 37 percent thought the same of Trump.

A total of 87 percent of Republican respondents believe Trump has the personality and leadership qualities to become the U.S. President.

Meanwhile, 81 percent of Democrats believe Biden had the cited qualities.
