Largo news, Florida news.

A Florida couple has been charged more than a year after the fatal overdose of a 17-month-old girl while in their care.

Adela and Kyle Allen, respectively 43 and 44 years old, gave investigators inconsistent statements about the child’s death.

The girl was found unresponsive inside their Largo home in March 2023 and deputies located several prescription drugs in the bedroom.

Authorities later ruled the child’s cause of death as an overdose of Oxydone.
