A chemical explosion at a Tennessee liquid nitride facility has claimed the life of a worker Thursday.
The victim suffered extensive and severe burns in the blast that occurred at TS USA in downtown Chattanooga.

The Chattanooga Fire Department said that fellow employees tried to help the injured person and were able to put down the flames.
The victim succumbed to “extensive burn” at an area hospital. Three other workers suffered and a firefighter suffered minor burns.
It remains unclear what triggered the explosion, officials said. An investigation is ongoing.
