A Wyoming boy was charged with premeditated murder and stalking on Tuesday over the death of a 17-year-old girl.
The 17-year-old suspect, identified only as E.C., stands accused of shooting Lenea Brown to death on May 14.
Casper Police described the shooting as an “isolated incident” but prosecutor Dan Itzen revealed in court that the teen “had been making homicidal and suicidal threats” a month before the murder.
The victim was a student at Natrona County High School.
“Natrona County High School will continue to offer counseling to students (and) they will remain available throughout the school year,” a spokesperson for the school district said.
“The NCHS school community is supporting students and each other during this devastating time.”
