5-month pregnant woman shot multiple times; killed in South Carolina home

A pregnant South Carolina mother of two was found dead from multiple gunshots inside a Sumter County home early Monday morning.

Family members of 25-year-old Keyirra Tatyana Walker called 911 at around 7:45 a.m. to report an unresponsive woman inside a Carrol Drive home.

The County Coroner confirmed the victim was five months pregnant at the time of her death and that she was shot multiple times.

  • Police said her two children were not home when the killing took place. Investigators believe Walker’s killer was someone she knew.

    “I just hope they find out who did this,” neighbor Russell William said. “When I left this morning, I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary.”

    “Always outside playing with her kids,” he said of the victim. “She used to love to bring her son over here and watch my dog and little boy.”

    “I just knew her as an outgoing sweet pretty young lady.”
