Aurora news, Colorado news.

An Aurora woman has survived a near-death experience by pretending to be shot in the head and killed like her cousin.

Police said that Kelynn Lewis, 32, broke into his ex-wife Deondranay McCain’s home to retaliate a few hours after she told him on a phone call that he was not the father of her child for whom he cared since birth.

McCain was in a bedroom with her cousin, 35-year-old Vatrice Little braiding one another’s hair when Lewis showed up on Feb. 9.

The gunman told McCain “You think this was a game?” and fired at her head. She told police that she dropped to the floor and faked being killed.
