A Texas man turned the gun on himself after slaughtering four relatives including a child early Saturday.
Alrick “Shawn” Barrett, 46, went on a massacre at around 7 a.m. upon returning his child from a visit to his estranged wife’s suburban Houston home.
Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan revealed that Barrett grew upset when his wife refused his pleas to reunite.
A 13-year-old boy called the police to report the shooting as he, Barett’s 7-year-old child, and his mother-in-law hid during the ordeal.
Barrett fatally shot his 44-year-old estranged wife, her 43-year-old brother and 46-year-old sister. Among the victims, was also Barrett’s 8-year-old niece.
Fagan said Barrett had no run-ins with the law except for a verbal altercation involving him and his estranged wife last year.
