Baltimore news, Maryland news.

A Baltimore toddler is dead after she was fatally shot and her father is now facing murder charges.

2-year-old Charlee Gamble was brought to the hospital by her 28-year-old father, Christopher Gamble, Sunday evening before he left.

The toddler suffered a fatal gunshot wound. Gamble told detectives that she shot herself with the gun he unlawfully purchased and left on a TV stand.

“There is nothing more tragic in the world than the loss of a life of a child, especially that young,” said Baltimore Mayor Brandon Scott.

“This is something that should not have happened, and we have to make sure that any and everybody that could be will be held accountable.”

“We should be looking at the adults around that child. There is no way on Earth that a 2-year-old baby should be gone from a gunshot wound suffered in a place full of people that love that young person.”
