Carrollton news, Texas news.

A Carrollton, Texas mother is facing charges after she allegedly stabbed her husband at the family home before driving her car with three children inside into a pond.

Police were called to Wei Fen Ong’s home in the 4400 block of Tall Knight Lane over reports of a stabbing.

The victim was found severely injured but is expected to survive, authorities said.

Shortly later, Lewisville police were called to the 900 block of Hebron Parkway where Ong had driven her car into a retention pond.

First responders rushed to the scene and managed to pull Ong and two of her kids out of the submerged car. The third child, a 12-year-old, had broken free on their own.

The two rescued children were unresponsive before being resuscitated and taken to a hospital. One of them remains in critical condition.

“Oh my heart sank, I have children. I have grandchildren, so I’m very sensitive to that,” a witness said.

“She had to be going really fast. She had to be going more than 20-30 miles per hour; those [tire tracks] are pretty deep.”

Ong was arrested after examination at Medical City in Lewisville. She is currently being held at the Denton County Detention Facility on aggravated assault charges.
