Two young men were killed over the weekend in Portland after they were fatally struck by a train, authorities said.
Brayden Fear and Kaleb Banzer, both 19, were hit following a minor car crash, investigators believe.
The teens wandered into a TriMet restricted area trying to retrieve a missing part of their car when the MAX train arrived.
Families of both victims are mourning their untimely deaths that happened while they were at the “height of life.”
“He worked really, really hard and did really well for himself for being 19,” Fear’s aunt said of him.
“They literally were inseparable, and they were living their best lives at 19.”
Banzer’s aunt called the fatal accident “numbing and devastating.”
“Kaleb lit up the room wherever he was. This loss will affect us forever.”
