Skydiver falls to his death in yard of Florida home

A skydiver was found dead in the yard of a Florida home on Saturday, authorities in Titusville said.

The victim was wearing parachuting gear when he was located on the lawn of a residence just a block from the Arthur Dunn Airpark.

“The preliminary investigation revealed an adult male outfitted in parachute attire and gear was located on the lawn of a residence on the 2600 block of Merry Lane,” Titusville Police said in a statement.

    The man was pronounced dead at the scene; it is believed that the victim was parachuting by himself at the time of the incident.

    First responders from the Titusville Fire Department and the County Fire Rescue responded to the scene.

    “This remains an ongoing investigation and more details will be released upon its conclusion,” police said.
