A Florida man is facing charges over an accidental shooting involving his unsecured gun and a 3-year-old relative.
Orlando Young, 23, left his loaded gun on the couch for a second to celebrate a touchdown on Saturday when little Serenity grabbed the gun and shot herself in the hand.
Footage of the terrifying incident was shared by the toddler’s grandmother on social media platforms.

“It looks like if she is getting ready to pick up the gun, the gun went off and I guess the bullet went through her finger,” the woman said.
Serenity underwent surgery at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and is expected to recover.
Young made a court appearance Monday and faces additional charges over an altercation with another inmate.
