North Reading news, Massachusetts news.

Police in Connecticut have arrested a 27-year-old woman amid accusations she abused several dogs while pretending to train them causing at least one’s death.

Josephine Marie Ragland was earlier this month hired to train a French bulldog over a two-week period but failed to return the dog to its owner who was then charged $2,250 for “the services.”

She claimed that the animal was either lost or stolen from her but investigators determined that the dog died sometimes around September 4.

Ragland has allegedly refused to collaborate with the investigation and provided false information to detectives.

She was arrested and charged with larceny by false pretenses and obstruction of justice.
