A mother and daughter were found dead inside their Pennsylvania home late Thursday evening.
The 39-year-old mother and her 16-year-old daughter died from “sharp force injuries”, the Northampton County Coroner Zachary Lysek said. Their deaths were ruled homicides.
Pennsylvania State Police spokesman Trooper Nathan Branosky said Saturday that the case is under ongoing investigation but insisted that there was no immediate threat to the public.
A neighbor revealed that the mother was from the Philippines adding that she divorced in 2014. Her slain daughter had just had a sweet 16 party before the massacre.
“I’ve known [the mother] as a larger-than-life person. She’s good at singing and dancing.”
